12th July 2017, Thunder Tiger Aviation Training (TTAT) is delighted to announce that they have completed a Drone Instructor Course with 9 new Instructors. Participants included the Civil Defence of Ireland, Thunder Tiger Drone Operators and 2 drone operators from Greece.
The approved course is a mandatory 40 hours classroom tuition and 8 hours additional flight training. The pre entry requirements for the course are to be 18 years of age, hold or have held a Pilot Competence Certificate and Specific Operators Permission with a minimum of 15 hours flying on the type or variant of Drone on which instruction is to be given.
Thunder Tiger Aviation Training also provide an Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) approved course for Pilot Competence Certificate and Specific Operators Permission which is a mandatory 16 hours classroom tuition and 7 hours optional flight training. On successful completion of the training the candidates undergo a Flight and Theoretical Knowledge test for the grant of their Pilot Competence Certificate (PCC) and Specific Operating Permission (SOP).
Capt Garland is the CEO of Thunder Tiger Aviation and the Chief Flying Instructor with Thunder Tiger Aviation Training. She has over 20 years experience in all aspects of aviation both manned and unmanned and is an IAA Authorised Examiner for all Drones up to 25kgs and is the lead instructor on all courses conducted by Thunder Tiger Aviation Training.”
